Hypoglycemia
My husband has suffered from hypoglycemia for many years and was told
be his GP after extensive tests he did not know what to do and suggested
he go to the library and read a book!!!!!
We were horrified, speechless — if you know the symptoms you will
understand, so I decided to go surfing—some kind soul had an article
of their experiences with hypo and made the suggestion the best thing
they had ever read on the subject was one chapter in Dr Atkin New
Revolution Diet.
I am please to say his health has improved so much it is amazing and
that is with a substantial reduction in eating carbohydrates. It is the unstable
rather than low blood sugar levels we have addressed.

from Extra Care News
There
are three categories of hypoglycemia: (1) iatrogenic/ such as conditions
surgically induced following procedures involving the gastrointestinal
tract; (2) spontaneous, such as conditions caused by tumors of the
pancreas/ and (3) reactive hypoglycemia, which we have discussed and is
by far the most common form. Insulin and oral hypo-glycemic agents are
the most common medications responsible for hypoglycemia. Persons with
significant symptoms of hypoglycemia should certainly consult their
physicians for competent professional advice. However/ in the majority
of cases/ hypoglycemia is purely a result of eating a meal rich in high-glycemic
carbohydrates. You frequently can avoid the symptoms associated with low
blood sugar level by following the SUGAR BUSTERS! lifestyle.
There is much written of the web about hypo — for us - low carb
makes a big difference!
